Spitchwick: Ideal location

Living in the South West definitely has its advantages, one of these is quick access to Dartmoor National Park.

The moors are rather breath-taking especially if you are from a city, running the rat race every day. The location I visited recently was Spitchwick (Map>). Running along the River Dart it beautifully opens out into a nice grassy area, ideal for picnics/BBQ’s (Not sure if it is legal to have a BBQ) and small sporting events. The river bends around a corner at this spot leaving a very deep area to dive into from nearby rocks (I’m not that brave!!). When I visited (Tuesday and Wednesday night) I just took pictures!!

Recommended area to visit, but it gets very busy in the summer. It’s quite nice in a full moon, but don’t go alone, it’s a long walk to anywhere if you break down!!

“Check that the seal is not broken before use”

These are just some of the things written on the side on my Benylin box. The summers coming (honest I saw some sun!!) and, although I no longer have a cold, I am battling with a cough.

I was wandering what you do if you have a cough and are diabetic - you can’t take a medicine than is advertised as “Glycerol & Liquid Sugar” - could you?

It also has a warning that it may be harmful to teeth - I suppose I should book the dentist appointment now; this cough don’t wanna let up!!

That’s almost it for today, except I have remembered I have to pay for this site this month - here piggy, piggy-bank.

Ciao
